  4. If you remember, we wrote to you about our terms on open
  5. account and are wondering if perhaps the personnel in your
  6. accounts payable department are unaware of these terms.  If
  7. this is the case, we would appreciate it if you would bring
  8. this letter to their attention so that we may clear up any
  9. misunderstanding in regards to your account.

  11. The 2% discount we offer our customers is only applicable
  12. when the merchandise received is paid for within 10 days of
  13. delivery.  We have been receiving your payments more than 10
  14. after delivery.  While you are under no obligation to pay
  15. sooner, this does not entitle you to take advantage of the
  16. discount.

  18. Presently, the 2% discount is being deducted from the face
  19. of the invoice and our charges for your earlier unearned
  20. discount, which we have added to your statements, are being
  21. disregarded.

  23. The total amount due us at this time for unearned discounts
  24. is $         We must ask that you remit your check in that
  25. amount to us as soon as possible.

  28. will help to clarify any misunderstanding.
